Neste has been crowned on the 4th place on The Corporate Knights’ Global 100 list of the world’s most sustainable companies. Neste has been included on the list for 15 times a row and thus, it has been on the list continuously for longer than any other energy company.
Peter Vanacker, President and CEO of Neste, says that they are pleased to be on the list. As he says, placing on the list is a big achievement as many businesses are focused on improving their sustainability. Vanacker says that Neste will continue to improve their sustainability efforts and to keep fighting against the climate crisis.
According to Corporate Knights, the consultancy that creates the annual ranking of corporate sustainability performance, Neste keeps placing in the top due to its sustainability focus, in addition to “its excellent performance in clean revenue and clean investment indicators.”
This year, Corporate Knights studied 8,080 companies and ranked them based on 24 quantitative key performance indicators ranging from environmental performance indicators to resource management, employee management, financial management, clean revenue and supplier performance.
