Finnish Independence Day Celebration – ‘Kuolleet Lehdet’ Premiere
We are excited to extend an invitation to you for a very special occasion of Finnish Independence Day Celebration. The VNF, FDCC, Foundation Finland 100, and the Embassy of Finland warmly invite you to celebrate Finland’s 106th Independence Day on 9th December at 17:00 – 20:30 CET in Pathé, The Hague. You are now able to register to the event.
Our celebration will begin with a welcoming reception and continue with the movie premiere of a Finnish film titled ‘Kuolleet Lehdet’ (Fallen Leaves) at the Pathé Buitenhof (Buitenhof 20, 2513 AG Den Haag) movie theater. The whole program is as follows:
5:00 PM Doors open, welcoming reception
5.30 PM ‘Walking Dinner’ with drinks provided by Ehta Catering
Selection of Finnish canapes on a wooden boat: reindeer mousse on rye cracker, mini carelian pastry and egg butter, smoked salmon on baguette (vegetarian/vegan alternative upon request)
Potato salad and warm smoked salmon on a wooden boat (vegetarian alternative upon request)
Blueberry pie with vanilla sauce served on a wooden boat, vegan
6.30 PM Transfer to the cinema, with of a glass of Prosecco
6.40 PM Speech by the Ambassador of Finland, Ilkka-Pekka Similä
Singing of the national anthems: Maamme / Vårt land and the Wilhelmus
6.50 PM Start of film: Fallen Leaves (Kuolleet Lehdet) by Aki Kaurismäki
8.15 PM End of film / Program
