Member event
We are pleased to announce that the FDCC is hosting a member event with Dr Jens Hillebrand Pohl, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs and Founding Co-Chair of the Helsinki Geoeconomics Week 2024 (HGW24).
In his talk “Businesses as Geoeconomic Actors”, on Wednesday, 13th of March 2024, at the Finnish Embassy in the Hague, from 16:30 to 18:00, Dr Hillebrand Pohl will discuss the critical and changing position of private companies in the geoeconomic strategy of states.
Business-government relations are essential as businesses operate key parts of today’s economy, such as economic hubs, networks and flows. However, these relations are changing due to sustained geoeconomic power competition and increased defensive economic policies, long considered exceptional. If you want to know more about what impact governments will have on businesses in the new era of strategic capitalism, come to “Businesses as Geoeconomic Actors”.
Make sure to reserve your spot here, as we only have 40 available seats!
The event is free for FDCC members and 20€ for non-members.
