“Finns have some of the best digital skills in the world and are ready to adapt to the rapidly changing future, a new ranking finds.
Finland’s global reputation for digital excellent has received yet another boost after the annual IMD World Digital Competitiveness ranking placed it seventh.
Altogether 63 countries were assessed across the three pillars of knowledge, technology and future readiness, exploring how poised they are to “adopt and explore digital technologies as a key driver for economic transformation in business, government and wider society”.
The ranking deduced that Finland leads the world in communications technology, adaptive attitudes and intellectual property rights and that its digital and technological skills and IT integration were ranked second-best.
Finland’s overall placement of seventh remains unchanged from last year, so too is that of the top five economies: the US, Singapore, Sweden, Denmark and Switzerland.
The ranking was produced for the third time by the IMD World Competitiveness Center, a Swiss-based think tank.”
